Gotcha Day!

Bobby here--gotcha day finally came after 507 days of waiting, praying, hoping and much anticipation!  Despite all the time to prepare (mentally and emotionally) we were still overwhelmed by this wonderful, wonderful day.  Noelle is a very sweet, gentle little girl and the gotcha moment went so much better than I had expected.  As we've moved into the evening here in China, Noelle has started the grieving process--it's been a really big day for her.  The next couple of days especially, and even the weeks to come will be really tough for her, but I know each day will get easier.  Once we are able to get Noelle settled in and are able to catch up on some rest ourselves, we'll get some pictures posted in the next day or so.

Thanks for all your prayers!!

  1. So glad to hear!!! Thanks for updating. God has placed Noelle perfectly in your family. Praying for things to go well for you and Noelle adjusts well. Can't wait to see pictures!!!

  2. So glad you have your precious girl! We are praying for her adjustment to her wonderful new family. It's such a sudden, big change for them. She will be okay and every day with you will become easier. I see it's raining in Nanchang - we enjoyed something our guide called the "pedestrian mall" - inside - and a lot of shops. Maybe you could do that in the rainy weather and let Noelle pick out a few new toys or even shoes or an outfit or whatever catches her eye?? Blessings

  3. So, so happy for you guys! I will be praying for this time of transition for Noelle and for the Lord to use this time in beginning the bonding process. She sounds precious. Love & hugs from cloudy Canal Winchester.
