Thanksgiving in our Hearts

We have so much to be thankful for this year!  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving sharing time with our family and friends.  We are also thankful for our church family and pastor's wife.   I have been making pumpkin rolls to sell at our church as November is "Adoption Awareness Month".  We have been blessed with those surrounding us that are so encouraging and thoughtful during our adoption journey.  They helped us by purchasing a pumpkin roll to help "Bring Our Little Pumpkin Home!" and it was successful.  We were able to raise almost $800 with the combination of pumpkin rolls and little squeaky shoes that our pastor's wife sold and gave us the donations.  (Thank you, Kathy!)   We have another $1,500 to go to meet our goal for Brittany's Hope.  We know that the Lord will provide and we'll be bringing Noelle home in the coming months.

This Thanksgiving was wonderful, but it was hard too.  I just kept thinking of Noelle sitting in the orphanage without her forever family during that special day.  We just need to be patient and lean on the Lord in His comfort knowing that she's being well taken care of until we get to meet her and bring her home.  Can you tell we are in love with this little one, all of us are!!  Mommy, Daddy, Big Brother and Big Sister too!
